Second meeting 24th - 25th of November 2022
The Scientific Network’s second meeting was held once more in a virtual 2D conference space on the platform gather.town.
The aim of the meeting was to conceptualize “participation” and explore possible method(olog)ical approaches. To this end, the members created academic posters that were presented and discussed in the course of the meeting. For the most part, the contributions and discussions focused on the method(olog)ical aspects of participation, but theoretical dimensions and aspects of participation in interaction were also debated.
At this meeting, a few new associated members were welcomed into the network. They had the opportunity to present their research projects and took part as listeners and discussants during the poster exhibitions and presentations.
The second network meeting ended with a joint discussion and evaluation of the insights gained, as well as the planning of the third network meeting. Due to the great relevance of these aspects in the context of translation and participation, it was decided that the next meeting should revolve around notions of multilingualism as well as language and translation ideologies.
